ข้อสอบ GMAT ใหม่กำลังจะเริ่มใช้ในเดือน มิถุนายน 2555 โดยที่จะมี Section ใหม่ที่ชื่อว่า Integrated Reasoning การเพิ่ม Section ใหม่เข้ามาจะไม่ทำให้การทำสอบนานขึ้น เพราะ IR (Integrated Reasoning) จะมาแทน Analysis of an Issue Essay โดยใช้เวลาในส่วนนี้เท่าเดิมคือ 30 นาที และจะทำให้ในส่วนของ AWA (analytical Writing Assessment) จะเหลือแค่ Analysis of an Argument Essay และจะทำให้ Format ของข้อสอบเป็นไปตามตารางด้านล่าง

สำหรับข้อสอบในส่วนของ Integrated Reasoning นั้นจะมีด้วยกันอยู่ 4 ลักษณะคือ

Table Analysis : มีตารางข้อมูลมาให้ พร้อมทั้งคำถามที่สัมพันธ์กับข้อมูลที่โจทย์ให้มา โดยจะมีตัวเลือกที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโจทย์มาให้เป็น statement และให้ผู้สอบเลือกตอบ อาจจะให้ตอบเป็น True/ False หรือ Yes/No ในการดูตารางข้อมูลนี้ผู้สอบสามารถเลือก sort ข้อมูลที่สัมพันธ์กับการตอบคำถามได้
ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ
Graphics Interpretation : มีกราฟ หรือ แผนภูมิรูปภาพ พร้อมทั้งมี Statement บรรยายกราฟ หรือ แผนภูมินั้นๆ ซึ่งผู้สอบจะต้องตอบในลักษณะการเติมคำเพื่อให้ Statement นั้นสมบูรณ์และถูกต้องที่สุด ในการเติมคำนั้นผู้สอบสามารถเลือกคำตอบที่ถูกต้องได้จาก tab ที่ โจทย์กำหนดมาให้

Multi-Source Reasoning : มีข้อมูลมาให้ 2-3 ข้อมูล พร้อมทั้งให้statement ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับข้อมูลนั้น โดยผู้สอบต้องเลือกตอบ (True/False หรือ Yes/ No)

Two-Part Analysis : มีโจทย์พร้มทั้งให้ตารางข้อมูลมา 2 คอลัมน์ โดยผู้สอบจะต้องเลือกคำตอบคำถามในแต่ละข้อแค่ 1 คอลัมน์ที่ถูกต้องที่สุด
